Action Plans

Simple Visual Action Plans

featuresimage1MAPP provides you with a simple, fast and effective way to create visual action plans for your project, business or startup.
MAPP breaks each plan down into simple but essential top level steps that you need to complete to execute your action plans successfully.
Each step is represented by a hexagon and you can allocate them different colours associated with any criteria you choose. For example type of activity, owner, phase, cost and so on.
Each hexagon is independent of the next but you can connect them together if you feel that they have a relationship in terms of time or type of activity.
The status of each step is visually communicated by the way that the hexagons ‘fill up’ like glasses of juice, revealing a tick or check mark when all tasks are complete.

Task Management

Simple Task Management

featuresimage2You can associate tasks that need to be completed to each Decision Step by clicking on the step and adding relevant details about the new task.
You can allocate each task to anyone else you have invited to the MAPP creating a simple collaborative solution. You can also add links to documents, databases, email addresses, social media profiles, videos and anything else that is available on the web or on your own intranet.
Each task can be updated by its owner to show how well progress is going including Not Started, In Progress, Nearly Complete and Done.
Changing the status causes the tasks to fill up revealing the familiar tick (or check mark) as the tasks are completed. Completed tasks in turn fill up the Decision Step on the main planning screen.

MAPP Store

A World of Experience

featuresimage3The MAPP store is where you can access the expertise and experience of others and use that knowledge to fast-track, and lower the risk of your own implementations. The experience of other teams and organisations has an immediate and valuable effect in rapidly kicking off your own action plans.
Instead of re-inventing the wheel every time a new plan is required, you can access the MAPP store and purchase the basic structure and elements of the plan – the 75% – allowing you to focus on the high value remaining 25% which is specific to you and your context.

The MAPP store offers expert decision sets from a range of sources including academic and business experts alongside a wide selection of other contributors. MAPP store content can be rated by those that have used it so that all purchasers can make more informed choices themselves.
The catalogue of content sets available in the MAPP store is constantly growing in order to cover action plans for all common activities that organisations and individuals undertake.

Collaboration

Invite the World to Share

featuresimage4MAPP lets you share your plan securely with anyone involved in helping to complete it by inviting them to view your MAPP using their email address.
You can control how much access each user has to your MAPP when they are invited as well as at any point during the life of the MAPP. Users can be given any of four levels of access.
No access – this level attaches the User to the MAPP but suspends their access until you decide it is appropriate. When that point arrives you can switch their access to any other level and the user will be notified of the change by email.
View – this level enables the User to see all the steps and tasks included in the MAPP but does not allow them to make any changes to them. This level is often useful for someone who is monitoring progress but who has no active role in the delivery of the plan.
Edit – this level enables the User to have the ability to edit the MAPP and will enable them to change the details of the MAPP wherever the permission to edit is assigned. At the decision level the editor can create, edit and delete tasks associated with the MAPP, but at the task level the editor can only change details about that specific task.
Full – this level enables the user to have full access to the MAPP including the ability to rearrange the steps, and to change all the details of each decision step, and task as well as manage the access level of other users. The ideal collaborative solution.

Data Management

Open Data Exchange

featuresimage1featuresimage5All the data that you insert into MAPP is collected in a standard format which lets you view it in the simple visual plan view, using the MAPP hexagons, or alternatively lets you also view it in a simple table format
MAPP allows you to upload and extract data to and from MAPPs with ease enabling your data to be shared between applications
At the simplest level the data can consist of just a decision title and a description of what the step involves.
A second level of detail can involve including preset tasks that need to be achieved for the step to be completed.
A third level of detail can be created which links each decision step or task to other resources including documents, databases, video, images, contacts and other Internet resources. These resources are embedded at exactly the right place for the use to benefit from them as they are addressing the specific decision step or task.

Process Mapping

MAPP any Process for Compliance and Audit

featuresimage6MAPP is used in many cases to record and store standardised processes which need to be followed in a particular way to meet a certain standard or comply with a specific audit.
These processes can include:
– The required steps to implement a standard within an organisation
– The key steps needed to set up a specific franchise operation
– The official corporate approach for operating an HR policy
– The approved way to manage a customer complaint
As with all MAPPs, the information provided through the MAPP can be as structured or as simple as is required. In a highly structured process, the MAPP can include all the key steps, all the associated tasks linked to the appropriate documentation as well as links through to contacts who can help with implementation.
All processes once MAPPed out can be stored and used again, ensuring that good practice is retained and that as little reinvention of the wheel occurs as possible. Access to the MAPP can be provided on a limited basis to any third party – such as an auditor – to review and check that all the steps in your action plans have been made correctly and appropriately.

Customisation

You Own Version of MAPP

featuresimage7Many of the elements of MAPP can be visually adjusted to reflect the branding and infrastructure of a specific organisation.
The MAPP Web Service can be altered extensively to fit within the framework of an existing digital infrastructure.
This can include, at the most basic level, the rebranding of the service using the organisation’s colour palette and logos, through to complete customisation including FAQs, help text, as well as all management and administration system.
An organisation-specific MAPP store can also be created which allows users within the system to access content that has been generated internally. This can be mixed with selected external content as desired.
If required, the MAPP system can be installed and operated from within an organisation’s own private network with software updates and maintenance being performed remotely.

Cloud Based

Available Anytime Anywhere

featuresimage8MAPP is a cloud-based service providing you with secure access over the Internet from anywhere using most Internet enabled devices.
When you or your team are away from the office, with a customer or overseas, you can still view and update your MAPP action plans using most common computers, tablets and smartphones making sure that your MAPP is always up to date and relevant.
This flexibility enables you to connect your MAPP to any other Internet resources including other MAPPs, internal and external databases, document stores such as Dropbox, Google Drive and SkyDrive, rich media such as video, photos and voice as well as any internal resources delivered via your own intranet.
It also enables you to connect directly with decision step or task owners via their online presence, either through social media or via voice and messaging systems such as Skype or Google Plus. The cloud allows you to invite anyone with an email address to become part of your MAPP, allowing them to view or edit parts or all of it as you choose.
